Is there any way you could order the Namaste Gluten Free Pizza Crust Mix? It’s nice to be able to purchase a mix so I can just whip it up when I want it. It’s sometimes easier than purchasing the already made crust. I think Red Mills has one too…..Thanks, Miranda

We do carry the Namaste Gluten-Free Pizza Crust in the store, as well as several Bob’s Red Mill gluten-free bread mixes. You can find it in our baking supplies aisle that is home to a wide array of gluten-free flours, mixes and other baking ingredients. Just ask a staff member if you are having trouble locating a mix on the shelf.

I would be very interested if the co-op was to offer a class on foraging for local wild foods. I’m trying to learn a little on my own, but if there was someone knowledgeable in the area that would be willing to teach what they know it would be a lot better and much easier. I’m not sure where to go, and some of the plants I want to make sure I am properly identifying.

Hi,
Every mid-July my wife and I visit Natural Harvest on our way to visit family near Ely. Just wondering if you carry Gluten Free Pantry baking mixes. Gluten Free Pantry is distributed by Glutino from Canada. I have been gluten free for many years and tried numerous brands of boxed gluten free baking mixes. Hands down, Gluten Free Pantry mixes are the best to date. They make a great sandwich bread mix, pancake mix, and a french bread/pizza mix.
Looking forward to your response.

My family and I are moving to Virginia next month and I am trying to find information on CSA shares in the area. I can’t seem to find anything on the internet and would appreciate any help offered. Thank you!

One of our local producers does do a CSA and here is what she said: “It’s $500 for a weekly delivery of veggies to your door, and $250 for an every-other week delivery. Everything is organically grown, there’s a big variety of veggies and some fruits, The season is about 18 to 20 weeks long, you also get a newsletter filled with recipes and farm tidbits. I don’t have any more openings for this year but I can add people to the waiting list. I do not know of any other CSAs in the Virginia area, there are many in Duluth, one in Finland, one near Two Harbors. People could check out the Lake Superior Sustainable Farming association website, or localharvest.org to look up more info.”
If you are interested in getting on the waiting list, contact Janna Goerdt at fatchickenfarm@gmail.com
Thanks for your question Liz!
